Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 12 August 2026
These terms govern your use of the Panda Power website and services. Please read them before using our services. By requesting a service, uploading documents, subscribing, or making a payment, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Panda Props (Pty) Ltd, trading as Panda Power ("Panda", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in South Africa (registration number 2015/305368/07).

Registered address: Unit 204, 1 Zonda Avenue, Victory Park, Johannesburg, Gauteng, 2195
2. Our services
We are an independent electricity billing-analysis and metering business. We sell no electrical equipment for our own benefit, and our professional fees are flat fees — never a percentage or "cut" of any saving or amount recovered. Our services are:
- Billing analysis — monitoring: an ongoing subscription that reviews each new utility bill for errors and over-charges.
- Billing analysis — historic review / recovery: a one-off project analysing past invoices to identify and quantify likely over-charges and prepare dispute documentation.
- Check metering: we supply a meter that independently measures your consumption, and provide an ongoing monitoring dashboard. (The meter is fitted by your own electrician.)
- Power logging & power analysis: measuring and analysing your electrical load, quoted per site.
3. What we do — and what we do not do
Our role is to identify, quantify and document billing errors and over-charges, and to measure and report on your electricity use. Importantly:
- You are paying for our work and analysis — not for a guaranteed outcome. We cannot and do not guarantee that a utility will accept a dispute, issue a credit, or refund any amount, or that any particular result will follow. Our fee is earned by performing the work, regardless of the utility's decision.
- We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice or representation. Where recovering money or formally resolving a dispute requires it, that is done by you — or by specialist billing-recovery providers or attorneys we can refer you to, on your instruction and under separate arrangements with them.
- Our analysis relies on the documents and information you provide; its accuracy depends on those being complete and correct.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide complete, accurate and legible invoices, meter details and information.
- Confirm you are entitled to share the documents with us and have the necessary authority or consent (see our Privacy Policy).
- For check metering, arrange fitting of the meter by a competent electrician, and keep your account details up to date.
- Use the website and services lawfully.
5. Fees and payment
Fees are quoted in South African Rand. How you pay depends on the service:
- Monitoring (subscription) — R200 per utility account per month, paid online by subscription through our payment provider, PayFast (Payfast by Network). For check-metering monitoring, the first three months are free (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy).
- Historic review / recovery, power logging & analysis, and the check meter itself — these are quoted and invoiced (not paid by online self-checkout). We agree the fee with you in writing before work begins; custom-quoted work may require a deposit.
Payments processed online are handled securely by PayFast; your card details are handled by PayFast and are not stored by Panda. Making a payment does not, by itself, guarantee any outcome from a utility.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Your cancellation and refund rights are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
7. Intellectual property
Our reports, analyses, methods, dashboards, templates and website content remain our intellectual property. On full payment you receive a licence to use the report we prepare for you for the purpose of your own billing dispute or energy management. You may not resell or redistribute our reports or methods.
8. Confidentiality
We treat your information and documents as confidential and use them only to provide the services and as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim arising from a service is limited to the fees you paid us for that service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always appear on this page, with the effective date shown at the top. For minor changes (such as clarifications), the updated version on this page applies from its effective date. For material changes — for example to fees, to what a service includes, or to your cancellation or refund rights — we will give affected subscribers reasonable advance notice (by email or through the service), with a link to the updated terms; the change then applies going forward from the stated date, and your continued use or payment after that date means you accept it. We do not apply material changes to you retroactively.
